Deeksha Ketkar is a Mumbai based, award-winning actress. She is trilingual: English, Hindi, Marathi (All spoken and written).

Prior moving to New York, she has worked with eminent directors and productions in India. Having started her career as a child actor in various theater productions, she has received multiple best actress awards and nominations for her work. With such a strong foundation and years of theater experience, she started collaborating with film and television directors and productions. She has been very particular with the kind of projects she chooses. She loves to essay characters that are simple but emotionally very complex.

Love for responsible content and freedom of showcasing characters from all around the world inspired Deeksha to move to New York. She completed a Two Year Conservatory from the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York. Since moving to New York, Deeksha has essayed diverse characters ranging from a conservative, pregnant Muslim woman from India, in a critically acclaimed Off-Broadway production called ‘A Muslim in the midst’ to a sassy, confident, self-assured teenager, who is an art student in an Independent Feature Film called ‘CRSHD’. Deeksha loves to experiment with different roles and mediums of acting. She has also featured in commercials like Venmo, Polaroid camera, to name a few.

Deeksha tries collaborating with culturally diverse theater productions and filmmakers. She hopes to keep working in New York and India side by side expanding her prospects and range of diverse characters.
